The Northern Lights Preschool Fees are reviewed annually and we reserve the right to increase our Fees. Parents will receive one month’s notice prior to any Fee increase becoming effective.
At Northern Lights Preschool, we regard snack time as an important part of the day. It provides an opportunity for children and adults to socialise together while encouraging healthy eating habits and independence.
Parents can choose to provide their child with a healthy snack each day in line with our Healthy Eating Policy, or contribute towards our preschool snack provision. The snack contribution is £10 per half-term for part-time children and £15 per half-term for full-time children.
Our snacks include a variety of healthy options, helping children to explore different foods and develop positive attitudes towards healthy eating.

Fees can be paid weekly, monthly, or half-termly in advance.
Cash or cheque payments should be made directly to the Manager in the main office. In the Manager’s absence, payments may be made to the Deputy Manager. Cash payments will be counted in the presence of the parent/carer and a receipt will be issued.
Invoices and payment information are issued through the Tapestry app. Parents/carers should regularly check Tapestry for invoices, account updates, and payment notifications.
For children accessing funded places only, invoices will show the funded hours received and any additional charges where applicable.

Your child’s place at preschool is dependent upon the continued payment of any applicable fees, including any charges relating to additional hours beyond funded entitlement.
If you experience any difficulties with fee payments, please speak to the Preschool Manager as soon as possible. All enquiries will be treated sensitively and in the strictest confidence.
Northern Lights Preschool reserves the right to withdraw or terminate a child’s place where fees remain unpaid or where the preschool considers it necessary and appropriate to do so.
Where possible, we will work with families to resolve any concerns before taking such action.
Northern Lights Preschool offers an Early Start Club for families who require childcare before the start of the preschool day. Children can enjoy a range of engaging activities in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment.

All sessions are supervised by qualified preschool staff, with at least one paediatric first aider present at all times.
Places at the Early Start Club and Late Pick-Up sessions are subject to availability.
Parents/carers are required to complete a registration form before their child attends. Any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or food allergies must be disclosed on the registration form. Parents/carers are also responsible for informing the preschool of any changes to their child’s details, including emergency contact information, medical information, or dietary requirements.
Ad hoc bookings are welcomed, subject to availability, provided that a registration form has already been completed.
All staff working within the club are made aware of relevant information regarding new children attending the provision.
Children’s attendance is recorded on a daily register to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
